After you’ve worked up an appetite, grab dinner on Mass Ave, then celebrate the power of love by catching a memorable holiday performance of A Christmas Carol at Indiana Repertory Theatre. Oh, and don’t forget to book your seats at the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra’s Yuletide Celebration to enjoy the festive tunes of Christmas Classics, both old and new. Of course you’ve saved room for some classic Chicken Velvet Soup. The Indiana State Museum’s L.S. Ayres Tea Room® is serving up all the classics this holiday season. Where Wild Meets Wonder

Sip hot cocoa and stroll through twinkling lights as you visit scampering red pandas, playful penguins, whiskered walrus and the graceful arctic fox. And, of course, visit Santa’s Magic Cottage.

Celebration Crossing
At the Indiana State Museum’s Celebration Crossing, you’ll discover an epic train ride on the Snowfall Express, a holiday buffet inside the L.S. Ayres Tea Room, a visit with Santa, and winter wonderland activities.
Meet the Original Elf on the Shelf

According to legend, the whimsical cherub mysteriously appeared on Thanksgiving Eve in 1947 to keep a watchful eye on holiday shoppers until Santa took over on Christmas Eve. That tradition has continued for more than 70 years.
